Current Plans and Updates!

Hey There!

I'm back with catch up on what's happened so far and the current plans! The entire design of this space capsule is going to be a 10 x 10 x 10 cube with the electronics inside of the cube. A solar panel will be attached to the capsule to charge the board inside, which is likely going to be a Raspberry Pi Zero W. Currently it is planned that there will be 5 sensors (one that will not be functioning due to there being two of the same sensor) consisting of a temperature sensor (x2), a barometric sensor, an altitude sensor, and a humidity sensor.  Of these 4 working sensors, there is a ASAIR AM2302 temperature and humidity sensor and a MPL3115A2 temperature, altitude, and barometric pressure sensor. These two modules will be connected to the Raspberry Pi Zero W via the GPIO pins. The Raspberry Pi Zero W will also be connected to cellular data to allow communication between ground control and the space capsule. It is planned that both sensors will be recording collected data to a Google Sheet, which I will post shortly after the return of the capsule. The method of launch (weather balloon) will be a weather balloon purchased on Amazon which will be connected to the space capsule via four ropes. Inside the weather balloon will be a parachute that will open as soon as the weather balloon pops and will allow the module to come down safely. Inside the Raspberry PI, it is planned that there will be a small vial of water monitored by a camera to watch the effect of gravity on the water, hopefully seeing that it will rise up and become sphere-like. Throughout this process, everything will be constantly updated about both file and design updates.
